Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quoting tool needs your sex, birthdate, how you rate your health, tobacco status, how much coverage you want, and how long the term should run. These six pieces are enough. Your name, where you live and your health details are only asked if you decide to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
They are the quoted rates each carrier offers for the health level you selected. After underwriting, the carrier may confirm, improve or change your assigned health level, which affects the final premium. Everything on this site is a quote, not a binding offer or price guarantee.
What happens when I click Apply?
Your answers fill into a secure application on the carrier's platform, which you continue on their site. You can stop and come back later, and you sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), processes the application.
Will I need a medical exam?
It depends on the carrier, the amount you want and your answers. Many carriers now offer accelerated approval for eligible people without an exam; each quote explains whether an exam is required, might be required, or not needed.
Is a longer term better?
Pick a term that spans the years when a loss of your income would hurt most: an unpaid mortgage, children still at home, or business debt. Longer terms cost more each month but lock in the rate for longer. Try different terms side-by-side in the quoting tool (10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 years).
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quoting tool does not ask for contact details, we do not trade or share what you tell us, and our measurement is cookieless. The privacy page lists exactly what is collected and who has access.
